1. Definitions
- "Synthia", "we", "us", "our" — Synthia, an online school for AI development operating from 70 Nimmanhaemin Road, Suthep, Chiang Mai 50200, Thailand.
- "Track" or "Service" — any online course programme offered by Synthia, including Data Foundations for AI, Building & Evaluating Models, and Generative Models & Capstone.
- "User", "you", "your" — any person who accesses the website or enrols in a Track.
- "Content" — all lesson materials, exercises, feedback, and resources made available through the platform.
- "Agreement" — these Terms & Conditions together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website or enrolling in a Track, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. You must be at least 18 years of age to enrol. By completing enrolment, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter a binding agreement.
3. Service Description
Synthia provides online, self-paced AI development tracks delivered in English. Tracks include lesson materials, exercises, and written mentor feedback on submitted projects. All Tracks are delivered via the Synthia online platform. Delivery is available to learners worldwide; there are no geographic restrictions on enrolment.
We reserve the right to update, improve, or modify Track content. Material updates do not constitute a change in the service you have paid for.
4. Enrolment and Account
Access to a Track requires creating an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account with other people. Synthia reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account that is shared or misused.
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the platform only for its intended educational purpose.
- Submit your own work for mentor review; submitting work produced by others as your own is a breach of these terms.
- Behave respectfully toward the mentor team and other learners in shared spaces.
- Not attempt to access, copy, or distribute platform content outside your personal use.
- Not attempt to circumvent technical measures protecting the platform or its content.
6. Intellectual Property
All Content on the platform is owned by or licensed to Synthia. You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access and use Content solely for your individual study. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any Content without written permission. Work you produce during the tracks remains yours; you grant Synthia a non-exclusive licence to use anonymised excerpts for quality review purposes only.
7. Payment and Refunds
Prices are displayed in Thai Baht (฿) and are payable in full at enrolment. Payments are processed securely by a third-party provider; Synthia does not store payment card details.
Refund policy: If you request a refund within 14 calendar days of enrolment and have not completed more than 2 lessons in the Track, we will issue a full refund. After that period, or after lesson 2, no refund is available. To request a refund, contact [email protected].
8. Enrolment-Specific Terms
Tracks are self-paced with no fixed end date. Access to Track materials does not expire after purchase. Mentor review responses are delivered within 5 working days of project submission. Synthia does not issue formal diplomas or accreditation.
9. Disclaimers
Content is provided for educational purposes. Synthia does not offer professional, legal, or financial advice through its tracks. No specific employment outcome, salary outcome, or project result is promised or implied. The platform is provided "as is" and we do not warrant uninterrupted availability.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Thai law, Synthia's liability for any claim arising from use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant Track. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the platform.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Synthia harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of this Agreement or your misuse of the platform.
12. Termination
Synthia may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, with written notice where practicable. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Sections covering intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution survive termination.
13. Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Thailand. We encourage informal resolution first: email [email protected] and we will respond within 10 working days. If resolution cannot be reached informally, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
14. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: This Agreement, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Synthia.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in full effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any term does not constitute a waiver of future enforcement.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights under this Agreement. Synthia may assign its rights in connection with a business transfer.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be communicated to active learners by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
