The Data Foundations track took me from complete beginner to someone who could actually work with a CSV file without panicking. The exercises are short enough to finish in an evening, and the mentor caught mistakes in my cleaning logic that I wouldn't have noticed on my own. I went in thinking I needed a degree — I didn't.

Track 02 was harder than I expected — in a good way. The part on evaluation metrics made me realise I had been reading accuracy scores wrong for months. The feedback on my second project was detailed enough that I actually went back and redid the first one. The pace is self-directed but the structure keeps you honest.

I run a small retail business and wanted to understand what my sales data was actually showing me. Track 01 gave me that, plus the vocabulary to talk to the developers we work with. The materials are clear in English, which helped since most resources I found were poorly translated.

The capstone in Track 03 was the most useful thing I did. I built something I was actually curious about — a small generative pipeline for generating Thai market summaries — and the mentor review pushed me to document it in a way I could show in an interview. That's the thing you don't usually get from a course.

I'm based in Europe and joined Synthia specifically because the materials are in English and the time zone difference wasn't a barrier. Async support worked well — responses came within a day. The track is thorough without being padded. I learned more in ten weeks than in six months of watching video courses.

Chiang Rai · Track 01 & 02
I did both tracks back to back over about six months. The jump from Track 01 to 02 was noticeable but not discouraging — I could feel the preparation from the first track. One thing I want to mention: the team is genuinely responsive. I sent a question on a Saturday and had an answer by Monday morning.

Anon Phothong
Data Analyst, Bangkok · Track 01 → 02
Challenge
Could write SQL but had no experience preparing data for ML models. Previous attempts at self-study stalled at abstract theory.
Approach
Completed Track 01 over 8 weeks, then moved directly into Track 02. Mentor flagged a systematic error in feature encoding on project two.
Outcome
Delivered a working classification model at his company within three months of completing Track 02. Now leads internal ML tooling.
"The mentor feedback on project three in Track 02 changed how I approach model evaluation. I still use that checklist."
Jiraporn Panyasit
Research Assistant, Chiang Mai · Track 03
Challenge
Had ML experience from university but found generative methods poorly explained in academic papers. Needed structured exposure with practical grounding.
Approach
Enrolled directly in Track 03. Built a capstone project on document summarisation using a fine-tuned generative model, with full evaluation documentation.
Outcome
Capstone became the starting point for a departmental research project. Presented the work to her faculty — documentation was cited as thorough and replicable.
"The responsible AI section was more useful than I expected. It helped me write a methods section my supervisor actually understood."
